(CAMEROON'S) ⏬: PUBLIC HEALTH MINISTER, CUT DOWN PRIZE'S FOR FEMALE CONDOMS 😉.

The minister of Public Health MAMA FOUDA, assisted by the minister of Communication ISSA TCHIROMA BAKARY, in a press briefing, announced that the prize for the feminine condoms will be reduced.
The minister, answering questions as to why the government of Cameroon, took this sudden act, to change the prize of the female condoms "Protective"  from 500fcfa to 100fcfa for the packet of three (3) condoms, had this to say "This resolution to change the prize of the female condoms, is to help combat the spread of STD's, HIV AIDS and unwanted pregnancies as more women are vulnerable of".

This result is due to a demographic research carried out in 2011. And results showed that HIV AIDS and STD's, was very present in the Cameroonian milieu and posed a thread to public health.
Stipulating that the prevalence of HIV AIDS is 4/3 %  within the general population age group from 15years to 49years.
While the women seems to be more vulnerable with a percentage of 5,6% as against 2,9% among men.

The female condom " Protectiv" was an initiative of a non governmental organization (ACMS - Cameroon Association For Social Marketing) with a project thamed in French as "ACCES UNIVERSEL AU PRÈSERVATIF FÉMININ" in 2009, and was launched all over the Cameroon's national territory.
It is said that resistant female condim "Protectiv'", is having the length of 17cm, assures protection of the internal and external optimal genital organs of women and gives room for a woman to be very active.
